Musical Experiences Help Children to Learn and Grow!

Making music is essential to helping young children learn and experience the world around them.  Amy utilizes developmentally-appropriate songs, instruments, dances, and listening activities to assist children in learning academics, strengthening motor skills, expressing emotions, communicating with those around them, and interacting with their peers.  She incorporates instruments, books, scarves, live and recorded music, visual aids, and more into her classes!

Early childhood music is available for both individual and group settings.  Music groups can be developed for Early Learning Centers and other preschool settings for up to 20 students.

In addition to over a decade of experience working with children ages 0-5 in a variety of home and school-based settings, Amy is trained in the Sprouting Melodies program, which was founded by Elizabeth Schwartz, MA, LCAT, MT-BC and Meredith Pizzi, MPA, MT-BC.  This early childhood music program for music therapists works with caregivers to use developmentally based music and interventions when interacting with children under the age of 5.  Caregivers and children participate in this music-making program together, which functions in a group setting.
