Amy grew up as your typical ‘band geek.’  She started playing the oboe in elementary school, and through middle and high school she continued to play in bands and orchestras around Berks County while she added the tenor saxophone in jazz band and baritone in marching band to her repertoire.  Through all of this, Amy knew that she wanted to continue to share that love for music by teaching others.  After earning her Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College, she became skilled in teaching woodwind and brass instruments, as well as beginning guitar, piano, and percussion.  Amy excels in teaching beginners of all ages as she brings patience and creativity to help her students learn music through methods that will help them the best as individuals.  Through her training as a music therapist, Amy is also skilled in providing adaptive lessons for individuals with disabilities, or those who may need an approach that is different from traditional teaching styles.
