What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is an evidenced-based practice conducted by a board-certified music therapist. Within music therapy services, music (singing, instrument play, listening, and movement) is utilized to address non-musical skills, including communication, cognitive, motor, social, and emotional skills. Goals and objectives are determined during an assessment process, data is collected each session, and reports on progress are written on a regular basis.
Who Can Receive Music Therapy?
Music therapy can help people of all ages with a variety of needs! You do not need to have any musical experience in order to benefit from music therapy services.
